Commercial support

Open Analytics has extensive experience in the development of Shiny applications and developed ShinyProxy to help its customers.

We offer support contracts for organizations and companies that want to rely on our expertise for in-house deployments, maintenance, and user support. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Feature development

While developing ShinyProxy, we focus on features (and bug fixes) which are useful to a large group of ShinyProxy users. We use the feedback from our customers as well as the feedback on GitHub and the community forum to prioritize the roadmap. Therefore, you can always request a feature using these channels. Once we implement a new feature, it will always be open source and part of the next release. However, if you urgently need a specific feature or integration, you can hire us to implement the feature. Since we will be in close contact, you can give concrete feedback and ideas about the feature. As soon as the feature is ready, we provide a Docker image or a JAR of ShinyProxy that contains the feature (and of course, if useful we provide the source-code as well). When we release the next version of ShinyProxy, the feature will be included and you can switch back to the regular Docker image or JAR.

Feel free to contact us with any idea for a feature or bug fix, what follows are some example features:

Troubleshooting

If you are having issues with ShinyProxy, you can request help on the community forum. We actively monitor questions and help out users as much as possible. However, if you want a quick solution, or want advice on your specific setup, we can offer commercial support to solve your problem. This can be combined with a SLA contract, to ensure that any problem you encounter with ShinyProxy can be solved quickly.

Deployment

We try to make the deployment of ShinyProxy as easy as possible, by providing extensive documentation and examples. In addition, we can take care of the full deployment of ShinyProxy. We have extensive experience with deploying ShinyProxy for customers, both on-premise and in the cloud. Depending on the use-case, different deployments method are used. For smaller deployments, a single virtual machine can be used. Kubernetes is often used when there are many users or apps, for example for public deployments. In addition to platforms being used for hosting data science apps, we can build data-science platforms, consisting of IDEs, data storage, databases, pipelines etc. The infrastructure always makes use of Infrastructure as Code, guaranteeing the infrastructure is reproducible and fully documented. This is especially useful in GxP and validated deployments.
